I completed a residency with Backbone Youth Arts where I created a short play that has since developed into a graphic novel concept.
I collaborated with Nevin Howell (Video Designer) and Siobhan Martin (Stage Manager) to bring the performance version to life. Through that process I created a collection of music and visual art that has carried into the next phase of the development.
Let it Be is a theatrical production that premiered at the 2017 Anywhere Festival. The performance combined live performance and animation to share the story of a girl who wants to save the world, one bee at a time.
The story follows Bobi, a young woman with a big heart. Too big, some would say. When Bobi sees a story on the news about the mass extinction of bee populations, she sets out on a quest to save them all. Accompanied by her friend, Fig, they both learn hard lessons about what it means to care so much in a world where there is so much to care for.
In this project, I storyboarded, co-devised, performed as Bobi, and created the animations.

Bare Feet is a physical comedy performance developed for children and their families. It has been through two creative developments at the Queensland University of Technology (2015) and the Redlands Performing Arts Centre (2016). The story follows young Sam on a very important mission to reconnect with her dad over fish and chips. The challenge is getting him out of his office, which is not easy when there are shoe gremlins running rampant in your living room!
For this project, I storyboarded, co-devised, and performed in the show as Sam.
